Lift 109 Battersea Power Station

We were the principal contractor for the fit-out of the Lift 109 visitor experience at Battersea Power Station. This landmark project transformed part of Turbine Hall A into an immersive attraction, blending heritage with cutting-edge technology.
Battersea Power Station, originally built between 1929 and 1955, was decommissioned in the 1980s. After a decade-long regeneration, it reopened as a vibrant destination for living, shopping, dining, and entertainment, with the Lift 109 project adding to its allure.

BECK London worked on a range of tasks, including the creation of a new media space, retail area, and back-of-house facilities. We also delivered bespoke joinery, metalwork, and feature lighting, incorporating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as audiovisual (AV) equipment.
A key part of the project was the careful preservation of Grade II-listed heritage features. This included refinishing the original Busbars to maintain the building’s historic integrity while enhancing its modern features.

The project also required specialist logistics, navigating a vast site with strict delivery protocols. We conducted high-level installations, including some that were more than 30 meters above ground, ensuring safety and precision throughout the process.
